ABOUT

THE ACCOMMODATIONS

The 12 staterooms on Luminosity spill over four decks, two of which can be sequestered to be used as private decks as you wish. The Bridge Deck is home to a jaw-dropping VIP suite, which can easily include the Moon Lounge and adjoining deck to act as one large VIP Apartment. The Owner’s Deck offers the Owner’s 150sqm suite plus three additional palatial Guest staterooms, with the option to close off deck access midships to create a vast Owner’s Apartment. One level below on the Main Deck are four spectacular Guest Staterooms all flooded with light, while three further Staterooms are located on the lower deck near the beach club, including a 4 bunk room ideal for children or private staff. Each cabin is bespoke, a rich interplay of textures and styles.

The use of interactive technology and monumental installations not only creates new experiences but also redefines the look and feel of the interior space

Each stateroom has a distinct personality, from the bright white VIP suite with its magnificent 3D parquetry floor and lapis lazuli and green malachite  bathroom, through to the moody brilliance of the Owner’s Deck Twin Stateroom, where cement wall panels are riven with a crack filled with luminescent gold. From brutalist influences to gold leaf panels to sculpted floral ceilings, each guest cabin and bathroom offers a stunning foray into modern yacht design. There are no carpets on the yacht, allowing for the myriad designs of marble and parquetry flooring to shine. Heated floors and gas fireplaces add cosiness in cool-climate cruising, while the high ceilings and glass walls of the deck level suites create an almost outsize connection with the natural world.

A STUDY IN
PERSONALITY

Zaniz Jakubowski projects consistently find the tension between whimsy and rigour, refinement and rebellion, past and future. Unhampered by conventions, Zaniz employs a wide range of materials, objects, ideas and references-from pure play to highbrow sophistication.

The walk to your stateroom is a journey through art, thanks to the extraordinary connective spaces that run between the yacht’s levels and living spaces. The most extraordinary of these is the central atrium staircase, which transforms into an ethereal green forest thanks to 370 square metres of interactive media walls, the trees’ dappled leaves moving gently in an invisible breeze. Thanks to the yacht’s design brief of providing changing spaces over long-term cruising, the media panels can be programmed to shift between different environments. But on this yacht, every transitional space is a masterpiece, with glass hallways featuring galleries of modern art and pathways marked out with inlays of multicoloured marble.
