LUMINOSITY
MAIN DECK
On many superyachts, the main deck salon is a little-used area. On Luminosity, this grand space takes centre stage — a whimsical triumph of art and technology. And as a guest, the yacht interacts with you as you move through it, creating an experience like no other. To live aboard Luminosity is to live inside art.

SALON
REIMAGINED
On a sculpture wall, hundreds of white magnolia flowers open and close silently as you move past, and a lounge area slowly turns on its circular base to afford seated guests a rotating view through the floor-to-ceiling windows. Overhead light shines from Matisse-inspired cut-out panels in the ceiling, and a 7m-long Boca do Lobo sideboard celebrates ancient sea voyages in a stunning mosaic of blue and white Portuguese tiles. The nautical theme continues with the white marble pillars framing the salon windows, engraved lines from Moby Dick. Above the glossy black table hangs a breathtaking 3m light installation made of one thousand Bohemian crystal lights shimmered in gold leaf.

The other elements of this breathtaking room are the best of modern minimalism— white and black sofas, and pale oak floorboards inlaid with geometric sections of marble. The clean lines allow the carefully selected art pieces to dazzle and delight.

Moving forward from the salon, a light-filled atrium hallway is home to a stunning glass and stainless staircase and elevator connecting the decks. The media walls of the 18m stairwell form a magical light installation, transforming the central pillar/atrium of the yacht into an lush interactive forest — a calming interplay of moving branches and dappled sunlight.
Further forward you enter the yacht’s library and guest office, which affords perhaps the greatest view of any library on earth through its exterior wall of glass. Settle in with a whisky and enjoy a book. Or get some work done, if you must.

The Main Salon is a tribute to the genius of visionary artists and writers. White marble pillars frame the main salon windows. They are engraved with the words from the first chapter of Herman Melville’s seafaring classic “Moby Dick” the all-time classic of adventure and endurance at sea.

The lighting above the carbon fiber dining table is a work of art in itself. In the shape of a Matisse cut-out, the 3m long polished steel structure encases one thousand Bohemian crystal lights. Made by hand, some are decorated with silver leaf to create dazzling light tricks.
