ABOUT

THE OWNER'S DECK

With its generous wrap-around decks, glass walls, and lofty 2.8m ceilings, the overwhelming sense of the Owner’s Deck is one of space and art and light. Aft is the majestic Owner’s Suite, encompassing 150 square metres and leading onto its own private terrace. Midships lie three privileged guest staterooms, each one unique — and their positioning allows this entire deck to be sequestered into one immense apartment for the use of the Owner’s immediate family and staff. Forward lies a spectacular glass walled office/boardroom overlooking the bow, where the sunbathing lounge converts into a touch and go helipad.

The best yacht design is life-affirming. Luminosity’s Owner’s Deck shatters the glass ceiling of yacht design.

Benetti FB272 LUMINOSITY - General Arran

When you wake up in the Master Suite, you feel you are part of the landscape you are floating through. 180 degrees of floor to ceiling windows flood the huge room with ever-shifting views of sea and sky, and exotic vistas of lush volcanoes or blue-green icebergs. Doors lead out to a comfortable private lounge terrace for quiet meals and moments away from the rest of the yacht.

The room itself is minimally decorated to make space for the views— all modern lines and luxurious timber and dark leather finishes. The eye is drawn down to the exquisite parquetry floor and up to the geometric designs of the backlit ceiling, only heightening the already lofty sense of the room. After experiencing the airy heights of this yacht, be warned: the ceiling height of other vessels will feel oppressively low.

EXPERIENCE A
LIGHTNESS
OF BEING

At the forward end of the Owner’s Deck lies a boardroom unparalleled in the yachting world. Making superb use of the space where the superstructure meets the bow, the office is circular and has been decorated as an allegory of time. A round ceiling design mimics the face of a timepiece, as does the circular marble inlay on the timber floor below, inlaid with lapis lazuli and malachite. Light shifts through the space as the day goes on, marking the passage of time. The boardroom also has one of the great office views of the world, overlooking the bow lounge and bar space with its touch and go helipad. A large PA’s office and a dayhead adjoin the Owner’s office.

The master bathroom is a visual feast of Statuario marble and lapis lazuli —carefully pared back with clean lines and vast quantities of glass. The statement piece is a spectacular glass-walled hydromassage bath carved into graceful curves from a single block of Carrara marble. A TV sits opposite, if you can drag your eyes from the extraordinary sea view.  With details like a private pantry, expansive dressing rooms, and a private massage treatment room, this is a suite that has been designed to live in for long periods, not just visit. Every detail of the Owner’s Deck is tailored to offer the owner maximum privacy and autonomy to live and work while cruising.
